Teddi Mellencamp Has “No Detectable Cancer!” … Though She Is “Not In Remission”… See more

“When the doctor said “no detectable cancer,” I should’ve felt free — but instead, I froze. Relief tangled with dread. Because the truth is, I’m not in remission. Not yet. I’m standing in the eye of the storm, pretending it’s calm, knowing one gust could destroy everything I’ve fought for. I wake up every morning grateful to be alive, but haunted by the whisper that it might not last. I look in the mirror and see scars, not of weakness, but of war. This isn’t victory — it’s survival with a pulse. And I refuse to let cancer steal one more second of my strength, my fire, or my truth.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp shared the great news that her cancer is “gone” on Two T’s in a Pod.

… and we couldn’t be happier for Teddi, her family, and her loved ones!

The good news:

Teddi began, “Just to give a little life update to you guys.”

“I had my immunotherapy yesterday. I did my scans, and at this point, there is no detectable cancer.”

Dolores Catania, who has been sitting in for Teddi on the podcast, exclaimed, “Oh, I’m so happy!”

The RHONJ personality told Teddi via their screens, “I wish I could hug you. I love you. Thank you for telling me that. It took my breath away.”

Teddi continued, “When they told me, I was in such shock. I was like, numb.”

She’s not isn’t in the clear … yet:

Teddi’s struggle isn’t over. “I’m still going to be having days when I’m feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy. I’m still fighting because you have to be.”

She plans to continue immunotherapy for a year. “I’m not considered in remission or anything like that. The way the [doctors] said it works, it’s like one year. Then, two years. Then, at three years, you’re allowed to be considered ‘in remission.’”

“But that was huge news yesterday.”

Dolo boasted, “You did it, girl. You didn’t give up one day, [and] you fought harder than anybody I know. That’s such good news. I’m so happy.”

“People think just because the cancer’s gone that I can’t still get sick or whatever. But I’m still in treatment. I still have a compromised immune system. So, I have to still be careful.”

With that said, Teddi’s docs told her, “all the tumors continued to shrink. It’s been good!”
