In a touching incident near Calgary, a group of Good Samaritans\u00a0helped save a distressed wild horse\u00a0trapped in a dangerous marsh. The horse, part of a new herd in the area, had wandered off during heavy rain, eventually getting stuck in the thick mud.\n

Darla Connelly, who was overseeing the situation, voiced her concerns about the new herd, unfamiliar with the local terrain during this particularly rainy season. Her fears were realized when one of the mares, a two-year-old, ventured too far and became trapped in the muddy marshland.\n

Rescue efforts quickly began once the horse\u2019s distress signals were noticed. Volunteers from the\u00a0Help Alberta Wildlife Society, equipped with ATVs and specialized rescue gear, rushed to the scene. The wild horse was in danger of sinking deeper into the mud, making the situation urgent.\n

Volunteer Daryl Glover bravely waded through the treacherous mud to reach the struggling mare. He carefully secured a rope around the horse\u2019s hindquarters to provide support, working with the team to prevent the situation from worsening.\n
