Jennifer is in grief.\n</p><p>The 51-year-old Suddenly 30 actress said on Instagram, \u201cWe were with him, singing \u2018Amazing Grace\u2019 as he left us (did we carry him across or scare him away \u2014 valid question),\u201d\n<figure class='\"wp-block-image\"'><img decoding='\"async\"' class='\"wp-image-19265\"' src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/dailypositiveinfo.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2024%5C/06%5C/111.jpg%5C%22" alt='\"\"'>\n<p>\u201cWhile there is no tragedy in the death of an 85 year old man who lived a healthy, wonderful life, I know grief is unavoidable, waiting around unexpected corners.\u201d\n</p><p>Garner expressed\u00a0\u201cgratitude\u201d\u00a0for her father\u2019s\u00a0\u201cgentle demeanor and quiet strength\u201d\u00a0in her reflections on his life, despite his passing.\n</p><div class='\"g' g-5>\n<div class='\"g-single' a-28>\n\n<figure class='\"wp-block-image\"'><img decoding='\"async\"' class='\"wp-image-19266\"' src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/dailypositiveinfo.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2024%5C/06%5C/2323.jpg%5C%22" alt='\"\"'>\n<p>\u201cFor how he teased with a mischievous smile, and for the way he invented the role of all in, ever patient girl dad,\u201d\u00a0she continued.\u00a0\u201cWe are grateful for his work ethic, leadership and faith.\u201d\n</p><div class='\"g' g-8>\n<div class='\"g-single' a-29>\n\n<p>She also expressed her gratitude to the medical staff that attended to her father during his last few months of life.\n</p><div class='\"g' g-6>\n<div class='\"g-single' a-30>\n\n<p>\u201cYour care extended Dad\u2019s life and gave him time to be in his favourite spots \u2014 surrounded by daughters and grandchildren, cheering for his beloved Aggies, captaining a boat, and \u2014 most of all \u2014 next to his wife of 59 years, our Mum,\u201d\u00a0the actress continued.\n</p><p>\u201cThere is so much to say about my dad \u2014 my sisters and I will never be done talking about how wonderful he was, so bear with us \u2014 but for today I share these memories with my appreciation for the kind and brilliant man, father, and grandfather he was, as well as the loving legacy he left behind.\u201d\n</p><p>In order to round off the heartfelt message, Garner included a number of never-before-seen pictures from her early years and enjoyable trips with her father.\n</p><p>Garner shared glimpses of their best times, from family photos to picnics where they shared watermelon.\n</p><p>She also included a 2016 credit card advertisement in which she appeared alongside William.\n</p><p>Talk show presenter Kelly Ripa was among the celebs and fans who expressed their sorrow in the comments section, writing,\u00a0\u201cWhat a lovely tribute.
