The neon glow of the city bled through the curtains, staining the dimly lit room with a pulse of red and gold. The air was thick with the scent of orchids and something more intoxicating—anticipation. She knelt on the edge of the bed, her skin kissed by candlelight, her scarlet silk top slipping dangerously from her shoulders.
Dahlia. That was the name she had whispered when they first met. Whether it was her real name or just a fleeting alias didn’t matter. Her lips had curled around the syllables like a secret, and he had believed every word.
She had summoned him here with nothing but a text. No address—only a room number and a time. 11:47 PM. Precision, seduction, control. He followed the trail like a moth to a forbidden flame, his pulse matching the city’s heartbeat.
The door had been unlocked. A deliberate risk. A dare.
Now, as he stood in the doorway, shadowed by flickering candlelight, he watched her. Her gaze lifted, dark lashes fluttering as if she had been expecting his hesitation. “You’re late,” she murmured, her voice a silk thread pulling him deeper.
“Traffic,” he said, but they both knew it was a lie.
She reached for the delicate gold necklace around her neck, letting the pendant slide between her fingers. “Lies don’t suit you,” she purred.
He smirked. “And what suits me?”
Dahlia tilted her head, lips painted the same hue as her scandalous top. “Obedience.”
The single word sent a thrill down his spine. He took a step closer, feeling the space between them shrink into something electric. The air crackled with an unspoken contract, a game neither had played before but both understood instinctively.
She traced a finger along her collarbone, watching his eyes follow the movement. “You’re wondering why I called you.”
He exhaled slowly. “I have my guesses.”
She laughed—soft, rich, dangerous. “You think this is about pleasure,” she said, shifting slightly so that the silk slid further down her shoulder. “But pleasure is just the gateway. What I need… is a favor.”
His breath caught, the hunger in his veins clashing with a sudden spike of intrigue. “What kind of favor?”
Dahlia leaned in, her perfume wrapping around him like a noose. “A man in this city has something that belongs to me. A key.”
“A key to what?”
Her lips barely ghosted over his ear. “A place where secrets go to die.”
The weight of her words settled in his chest. This was no simple seduction. This was a test, a challenge wrapped in the guise of desire.
And he was already falling.
She pulled back, meeting his gaze with something wicked and knowing. “So, will you help me… or are you afraid of getting burned?”
His hands curled at his sides. He had always thought himself a man of control, a man of reason. But as he reached for her, dragging her into the fire of their inevitable collision, he realized—
He was already ablaze.
Embracing Ageless Beauty: The Inspiring Story of a Sexy, Timeless Woman
It’s easy to believe that models, with their picture-perfect images, have it all. But behind the glitz and glamour often lies a journey of self-discovery, body transformation, and, most importantly, self-love. Today, a growing number of models are using their platforms not just to showcase their stunning appearances but also to share the more raw, real, and personal narratives of their bodies’ evolution. Their stories are more than just inspiring—they’re a testament to redefining beauty standards and promoting authentic body positivity.
This movement has seen models boldly presenting their before-and-after transformations in a manner that’s far removed from the traditional “weight-loss” or “fitness journey” rhetoric. Instead, these images and stories are centered around acceptance, health, and self-respect. They encourage us to celebrate our bodies at every stage, embrace imperfections, and recognize that true beauty comes from how we view ourselves, not how others perceive us. Each post, each image, and each word aims to shift the focus away from external validation and towards internal contentment.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the prominent figures in this space who are using their experiences to inspire thousands around the world.

Cancer is the second-leading cause of adult deaths in the U.S., followed by heart disease. Andrew Nish, MD, John Stoddard Cancer Center Medical Director, helps us understand the most dangerous cancers as outlined by the American Cancer Society’s 2024 annual Facts & Figures report.
NOTE: The numbers don’t include basal cell (most common skin cancer) and squamous cell (second most common skin cancer) skin cancers, since they’re not regularly reported to cancer registries.
Top 2025 Cancer Statistics
Cancer statistics for 2024 have increased since last year.

Why is Lung Cancer the Most Common?
Even though lung cancer is the deadliest cancer for men and women, the rates are declining in the U.S. Experts contribute the drop to fewer smokers and improvements in treatments for non-small cell lung cancer.
“Cigarette smoke is by far the highest cause of lung cancer in the U.S., but exposure to other environmental factors could also increase your risk. Radon gas, which is naturally occurring in the soil and can collect in indoor spaces, is the second leading cause of lung cancer, accounting for an estimated 21,000 deaths per year. Secondhand smoke, asbestos, radiation, air pollution and diesel exhaust are other contributing factors,” Dr. Nish says.
Signs and Symptoms of Lung Cancer
Persistent cough
Sputum (saliva mixed with mucus) streaked with blood
Chest pain
Hoarse voice
Worsening shortness of breath
Recurrent pneumonia or bronchitis
“These signs and symptoms of lung cancer don’t usually appear until the cancer is more advanced. Early detection is very important, so talk to your doctor about screenings available to you,” Dr. Nish says.
Why is Colon Cancer on the Rise in Younger People?
Colorectal cancer has generally declined since the early 1990s for those 50 and older due to more people following colonoscopy screening guidelines. However, colon cancer cases are rising in younger people. While the exact cause is unknown, lifestyle risk factors include highly processed diets, environmental toxins, heavy alcohol use, lack of exercise, obesity and smoking.
“Most colorectal cancer diagnosed in adults younger than 50 are called ‘sporadic,’ meaning they don’t have a genetic or family risk, and they aren’t associated with a pre-existing condition such as inflammatory bowel disease. There is some research underway to understand the composition of the gut microbiome, or the trillions of bacteria in your gut, and how it may impact your risk for colon cancer,” Dr. Nish says.
Screening is recommended starting at 45 years old. These high-risk factors mean you should get screened sooner:
Type 2 diabetes
Inflammatory bowel disease
Family or personal history of colon cancer or polyps
Lynch syndrome
Of American Indian, Alaska Native or Ashkenazi Jew racial or ethnic groups
Signs and Symptoms of Colon Cancer:
Rectal bleeding
Blood in stool
Change in bowel habits or stool shape (stool that becomes narrower)
Feeling like the bowel doesn’t completely empty
Abdominal cramping or pain
Decreased appetite
Weight loss
Weakness and fatigue
Due to the increase of cases in younger adults, it’s important to check in with your primary care provider if you notice any of these symptoms.
Most Dangerous Cancers Explained
Lung & Bronchus
Lung and bronchial cancer causes more deaths in the U.S. than any other type of cancer in both men and women. Although survival rates have increased over the years due to improved treatments, the outlook is still bleak. The five-year survival rate is only 22%.
Breast
The breast cancer death rate among women peaked in 1989. The drop is attributed to increase use of breast cancer screenings that improve early detection and survival rates. The five-year survival rate is 90% and the 10-year survival rate is 84%. While survival has improved, healthcare inequities are still an issue. For example, the survival rate is 10% lower for Black women than for white women.
Prostate
Prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer-related death in men. Survival rates are directly associated with early detection, so men should follow their doctor’s screening advice. The five-year survival rate in men who are diagnosed early is nearly 100%. The incidence of prostate cancer is 73% higher in Black men than White men for unknown reasons. Besides age and family history of disease, African ancestry is a leading risk factor for prostate cancer.
Colon & Rectum
The third most common cancer in men and women, colon and rectal cancer cases begin as clumps of benign cells, called polyps. Over time, these cells become cancerous. Screening is recommended for people over the age of 45 but should be considered earlier if the person is at increased risk. Due to early detection from screenings, colon cancer incidence rates decreased by about 2% percent from 2014 to 2018 in adults age 50 and older. However, it increased by 1.5% per year in younger individuals.
Pancreas
Because pancreatic cancer progresses rapidly, and no method of early detection is currently available, it’s one of the most dangerous types of cancer. The incidence rate has increased by about 1% per year since 2000. The five-year survival rate sits at only 11%. In addition, pancreatic cancer has shown resistance to chemotherapy, so clinical trials are taking place to develop alternative treatments.
Liver & Intrahepatic Bile Duct
Liver cancer is more common in men than women. Liver cancer diagnoses tripled from 1980 to 2015 but appear to have stabilized recently. At least 70% of liver cancer in the U.S. could be prevented by managing risk factors including excess body weight, smoking and heavy alcohol consumption. Hepatitis C, hepatitis B and Type 2 diabetes also increase risk. Liver cancer is dangerous, because it does not cause symptoms until it’s later stages, and early detection is difficult. The five-year survival rate is just 20%.
Ovary
Because ovarian cancer does not usually have symptoms, or, has symptoms that tend to be associated with other issues, early detection is difficult. Women who are most at risk are those with a strong family history of breast or ovarian cancer. Preventative surgery to remove the ovaries and fallopian tubes can decrease this risk dramatically. Women who smoke and are overweight are also at a higher risk of developing ovarian cancer. The five-year survival rate for ovarian cancer is only 49%.
10 Ways to Prevent Deadly Cancers
While 5% to 10% of cancer cases are due to genetic defects, 90% to 95% are because of environmental and lifestyle factors. Lifestyle modifications to prevent cancer include:
Stop smoking/using tobacco
Improve nutrition by adding more vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds
Decrease consumption of processed foods
Prevent heavy alcohol use
Reduce obesity levels
Increase activity – get up and move
Protect your skin by wearing sunscreen and avoiding indoor tanning
Participate in appropriate cancer screenings by age and risk factor
Reduce exposure to environmental pollution
Get vaccinated with the HPV vaccine and hepatitis B vaccine
“If you have questions about your diet, screenings, vaccines, exercise, skin care or any other cancer prevention techniques, start by asking your primary care provider. And, if you notice something doesn’t feel right for your body — say something. It’s the most important way to advocate for yourself and your health,” Dr. Nish says.

The Lunula, the crescent-shaped whitish area at the base of the nail, can often be seen covering approximately a quarter of the nail plate and is particularly prominent on the thumb. This unique anatomical feature plays a significant role in health assessments. Experts have noted that a whiter Lunula typically reflects better overall health and vitality in an individual. Several factors can influence its growth and appearance, including one’s diet, level of physical fitness, and various environmental factors.
When any of these elements are compromised, the Lunula may change in size, become less noticeable, or even fade away completely. Such variations can serve as potential indicators of underlying health issues. The Lunula is sensitive; therefore, discomfort or alterations in this area may point toward more serious health concerns. It is important to be aware of what the diminution or absence of the Lunula could signify.
For instance, a noticeable absence of the Lunula on the thumb may suggest the presence of a mental health disorder or emotional distress. If you observe that your little finger lacks a Lunula, it might indicate problems related to your digestive system, the pancreas, the liver, or—even more specifically—reproductive system issues in women.
Furthermore, if the Lunula on your middle finger has contracted, this could be a sign of hypertension or high blood pressure. A decreased or completely absent Lunula on the ring finger may be indicative of thyroid-related issues.
Given the potential implications connected with variations in the Lunula’s size and visibility, it is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional if you notice any changes. Early detection and intervention can be fundamental to addressing any underlying conditions effectively. Seeking medical advice in the event of such changes in the appearance of the Lunula can lead to timely treatment and better health outcomes. In conclusion, while the Lunula is just one aspect of nail health, its condition can provide invaluable insights into your overall well-being.

Laurens: Supercopa loss was unacceptable from Ancelotti
Gab and Juls discuss why Real Madrid lost the Supercopa final against Barcelona.
Barcelona came from an early goal down to beat Real Madrid 5-2 in the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday, scoring four goals in a dominant first half and surviving having their goalkeeper sent off to clinch a record-extending 15th trophy.
Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Alejandro Balde were all on target before halftime, after France forward Kylian Mbappé put Real in front in the fifth minute. Raphinha grabbed another in the second half while Rodrygo scored for Real.
Barcelona put in a clinical display to lift their first trophy in more than a year, having had no silverware to show for last season.
“A goal for big clubs is always to win titles, that’s why we work hard. But now we have to show it in the next games,” Hansi Flick told a news conference after winning his first trophy as Barça coach.
“Real made many mistakes, and we knew how to take advantage of them to control the match.”
Barca prevented Madrid from winning their third title of the campaign, after they won the European Super Cup against Atalanta and beat Mexico’s Pachuca to the Intercontinental Cup last month.
“In the first half we didn’t play football, we hit long balls and that wasn’t the idea,” Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said.
“I told the players that they can lose games, but not in the way we played in the first half.”
Barcelona trounced Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercopa final on Sunday.
Mbappé earned an early advantage for the Spanish champions, finishing a solo run from around the halfway line with a shot inside the far post.
But what looked like a dream start quickly turned into a nightmare for Ancelotti’s men when Yamal levelled for Barca in the 22nd minute. Striker Lewandowski gave them the lead 14 minutes later from a penalty awarded for Eduardo Camavinga’s foul on Gavi.
Raphinha increased the advantage with a stunning header from a brilliant long cross by Jules Koundé in the 39th minute, and left back Balde added a fourth for Barca deep into stoppage time after nine minutes were added to the first half.
Yamal released Raphinha with a precise pass following Madrid’s miserable corner kick, before the Brazil forward left the ball to Balde who scored with a simple finish.
Madrid started the second half with Rodrygo hitting the bar, sparking hopes of the hectic clash taking another turn.
But Raphinha quelled any sniff of a comeback when he made it 5-1 three minutes after the break, having slalomed past the Madrid defence.
Barça were left with 10 men when goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was sent off for fouling Mbappé in the 56th minute and Rodrygo beat substitute keeper Iñaki Peña from the resulting free kick.
But Madrid, who hold a five-point advantage over Barça in LaLiga after 19 games, had no shots on goal after the penalty until Mbappé’s effort was denied by Peña in stoppage time.
Barcelona also lost defender Iñigo Martínez before the half-hour mark through injury, with Ronald Araújo stepping in.
Madrid and Barcelona met in the competition’s final for third consecutive time, with Ancelotti’s side prevailing last year while Barça lifted the trophy in 2023.
Barcelona booked their spot in the final by winning 2-0 against current Spanish Cup holders Athletic Bilbao in the semifinals before Real beat last year’s Copa del Rey finalists Mallorca 3-0.

Barcelona’s Raphinha scored deep into stoppage time to hand his side a dramatic 5-4 comeback win at Benfica to seal a place in the top of the Champions League table on Tuesday. This came after a hat trick from Vangelis Pavlidis gave the hosts a two-goal half-time lead.
The Catalans continued their recent poor La Liga form with a shaky start at the Estadio da Luz, while coach Hansi Flick’s decision to start goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny raised questions after the Polish keeper’s mistakes led to two Benfica goals.
But Flick’s team fought back late in the game to secure their spot in the next round, sitting second with 18 points from seven games heading into next week’s final group-stage fixtures.
Benfica missed out on a win that would have brought them closer to the top eight, who automatically qualify for the last 16, and instead dropped to 18th with 10 points among the playoff spots.
“We knew it was going to be a difficult game. I know how difficult it is to play here against Benfica. They have players of the highest level,” former Sporting forward Raphinha told Movistar.
“We didn’t let ourselves get carried away when we were 3-1 down. It was a spectacular match for the spectators. Anyone could have won.”
Greek striker Pavlidis opened the scoring after two minutes with a tap-in before Robert Lewandowski equalized from the spot as the VAR awarded Barca a penalty for a Tomás Araújo foul on Alejandro Balde in the 11th minute.
Pavlidis restored Benfica’s lead, capitalizing on a poor run out by goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who left the forward with an open goal. The 26-year-old bagged his third with a penalty after Szczesny fouled Kerem Aktürkoglu on the half-hour mark.
Barcelona players celebrate after scoring a goal against Benfica in the Champions League.
A blunder by Benfica keeper Anatoliy Trubin also proved costly as he cleared the ball straight onto Raphinha’s head and into the net for a bizarre goal as the visitors pulled one back in the 64th minute to make it 3-2.
Barcelona’s defensive misfortune continued, however, and Benfica extended their lead again four minutes later thanks to an own goal from Ronald Araújo before Lewandowski scored his second with another clinical penalty in the 78th.
Substitute Eric García then equalized with a towering header from a fine Pedri cross three minutes from time. Raphinha then found the winner six minutes into stoppage time from a quick counter-attack that stunned the home crowd.
“It was an incredible victory. The team didn’t lose their heads throughout the game,” defender Garcia said. “When you start the game losing, it messes your plans.
“It’s important to qualify for the next round. We came with this objective in mind.”
Barça host Atalanta in their final first phase game next Wednesday when Benfica will look to bounce back at Juventus.

There’s no way around it-aging is inevitable. But that doesn’t mean you have to age in a way that makes you feel discontent with yourself.
As a woman in her 60s, I look and feel better than ever before! I look in the mirror and love what I see. Whenever I see a photo of myself, I’m pleased with what was captured. I feel vibrant, healthy, and confident! And my skin looks amazing.
I’m a firm believer that there’s nothing wrong with aging, but I have yet to meet a woman who wants to look older than she is. This is normal!
Over the past decade, I have found tips that helped me slow down the aging process on everything from nutrition to sleeping to hair, makeup and skin care routine. You’ll love learning how to look younger than your calendar age.
Anti-Aging Tips to Make You Look 10 Years Younger
1. Frame Your Face
Eyebrows play a big role in making you look younger. Keep your eyebrows trimmed and shaped. This helps frame your face and draws attention to your eyes.
2. Decrease Sugar Intake
Or if you can, cut it out altogether! Sugar is an inflammatory food that will show aging effects on your face. Not only that, but it can inflame your brain, making concentration and memory more difficult and challenging.
If cutting out sugar feels too daunting, I recommend substituting it with monk fruit sweetener and eating sweet fruits. This will satisfy the sweet craving and help you move into a healthier habit!
3. Get Enough Sleep
Make this a priority. Sleep changes everything and is a critical part of slowing the aging process! Many women try to use the late-night hours to finish their to-do lists or get alone time. I understand completely. But your body needs adequate rest, as this is the time when cells regenerate and any inflammation in your body drops. If you keep your adrenaline going long after your body wants to rest, you will continue to produce stress hormones, instead of allowing your body to wind down.
Start small. Start going to bed 15 minutes earlier for one week, and then add another 15 minutes the next week. Make a point to reduce screen time beforehand so your brain can start to produce melatonin, which will help you fall and stay asleep faster.
With more sleep, you’ll feel and look more energetic and happy.
4. Avoid Harsh Chemicals
This includes pesticides and industrial solvents such as paints and varnishes. Even household cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can overtax your system. When the body tries to process these chemicals from the environment, it can cause chronic inflammation which wears down the cells.
Switching to more natural-based products will immediately relieve your body’s detoxification system and slow down the aging process. This applies everywhere in your life from gardening and household work to your hair and skin care routines.
5. Eat More Grapes
Yes, I said grapes! Sorbitol, which gives grapes, berries, plums, and pears their sweetness, is a humectant, a substance that attracts water when applied to the skin, helping it absorb and retain moisture. It’s a natural treatment for dry skin and can be helpful regardless of your skin tone.
Fueling your body with natural sources of moisture is especially effective when combined with using appropriate creams and lotions.
6. Care For Your Face
I am meticulous about my skin care routine, especially on my face. Otherwise, it’s the first place to show signs of aging. If you’re brand new to the world of skincare, these products are essential:
Apply retinol (Vitamin A) moisturizer, such as Wrinkle Recovery Serum
Use a high-quality Neck Restoring Cream for skin tightening
Be vigilant about using natural sunscreen, and avoid being outside during the time of day when the sun is most direct.
7. Switch Out Facial Products
Ditch the harsh soaps and cleansers and switch them with gentler ones. Also, skip any toners that contain alcohol as these will dry out your skin and increase the appearance of fine lines. Remember to moisturize day and night – it’s well worth the few moments it takes to apply a moisturizer twice a day.
If you would like to know more about the skin care products I personally use, then I’m thrilled to share with you my anti-aging product line.
These products are essential in my personal skin-health regimen, and I use them every day. I am so excited to help you simplify your skincare routine and get powerful results from the most essential ingredients your skin needs.
8. Care for Your Hair
When you were younger you might have had thick hair, but part of the aging process is thinning hair, so consider styles and products that add volume to the hair . Also, use deep conditioners on a regular basis to nourish and stimulate resulting in more healthy hair.
You’ve got some great options for a youthful appearance based on the right haircut. I particularly love the way short hair looks on women over 60.
What about color? You can have a lot of fun with your hair color. I put together a list of the best hair colors for women over 60 – it goes beyond the sandy blonde we see so much of!
Want to keep your natural gray? You can wear grey hair without looking old!
9. Smile Often & Care for Your Teeth
Smiling instantly makes you look more youthful. Healthy, white teeth are attractive and can boost your inner confidence.
But what if you’re not proud of your teeth?
Neglected teeth can lead to gum disease and gingivitis, not to mention they have a significant negative impact on your confidence. What can you do when you’re afraid to show your smile?
Start small and whiten your teeth. It’s very affordable and easy to whiten your teeth from home. While other dental procedures to improve your smile vary in cost, they are worth it. Talk to your dentist about what would be a good starting place and go from there.
10. Take Care of Your Hands
The back of your hands have very gentle skin, so it’s important to show them some TLC. The back of your hands will show signs of aging due to sun exposure and overall use!
Use hand cream regularly and exfoliate your hands with lemon and salt. And don’t forget to apply sunscreen when you go outdoors!
11. Load Up on Vitamin K & Lycopene
We can’t forget about nutrition! Vitamin K is found in kale and other green vegetables such as spinach, collards, Swiss chard, parsley, lettuce, and Brussels sprouts. Vitamin K helps your blood coagulate, reducing the impact of bruising and stretch marks while potentially creating younger looking skin.
Lycopene can be found in tomatoes and other red fruits and vegetables (but not cherries and strawberries, interestingly). It gives the skin powerful antioxidant protection against UV rays with some research showing that it can reduce the future impact of sun damage.
12. Eat Oily Fish
Wild Alaskan Salmon is a great example of an oily fish, which is rich in DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol), a compound that boosts muscle tone and is a common ingredient in expensive creams for mature skin. Eating oily fish twice a week offers the same benefits. Not to mention, oily fish is incredible for brain health!
13. Exercise 4+ Times a Week
You’ll fend off muscle loss and sleep better when you exercise at least four days a week. Combine cardiovascular exercise for heart and lungs, resistance exercise for muscles, stretching for flexibility, and balance exercise for coordination.
Weight training is an incredible option for bone health and will fight against osteoporosis, all while making you feel strong and confident as you increase muscle tone.
14. Play with Makeup
Makeup will allow you to highlight your best feature-your eyes! You’ll want to avoid glittery or shiny eyeshadows, which can accentuate the fine lines around your beautiful eyes. Opt for creamy textures or go with matte altogether.
But your eyes aren’t the only place to show a little love. I have a whole collection of makeup videos for mature skin to help you choose the best foundation and create a glowy look.
15. Dressing Your Truth
Instead of looking for quick fixes on the outside, why not start from the inside? My Dressing Your Truth system guides you through the process of determining which of the 4 Energy Types you are, and then fully owning it so you can live it!
When you’re Dressing Your Truth, you radiate youthful energy from the inside out. You don’t need to look or feel like an older woman.
In my opinion, this may be the most important tip! The key to looking 10 years younger is dressing your truth. You’ll discover how wearing the correct colors, textures, fabrications, and accessories will make you look and feel better than ever.
Sara, a Rich and Dynamic Type 3 woman shares:
“About 8 years ago, 48 years old, pre-silver transition. I have done a lot of healing over the past 2 years and got the outside looking like the inside. I’m forever grateful to Carol and her team. I feel different! A great feeling.”
When you’re Dressing Your Truth, the change is noticeable from head to toe. People will notice you look happier, feel more confident, and appear younger.
